AUSTIN, TX— The Texas Trucking Association (TXTA) is proud to announce Greg Price, Executive Chairman of United Petroleum Transports and Florida Rock & Tank Lines, as the recipient of the 2025 TXTA Leadership Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to an association member who exemplifies exceptional leadership, unwavering character, and steadfast commitment to the Texas trucking industry.
Greg Price’s legacy in the trucking industry spans decades of influential leadership and service. His journey began in 1980 when Oklahoma Tank Lines acquired United Petroleum Transports from Sun Oil, coinciding with the deregulation of interstate trucking. This pivotal shift allowed expansion beyond Oklahoma, and that same year, Price’s company began servicing the first Love’s Travel Center in Amarillo, Texas. Shortly thereafter, United Petroleum Transports became a member of TXTA in the mid-1980s, cementing a long-standing partnership with the Texas trucking community.
Throughout his career, Price has remained a staunch advocate for the industry. He has represented TXTA in Washington, D.C. and has testified on behalf of the association on the state and federal level. His leadership has extended beyond Texas as well—he has served as Chairman of the Oklahoma Trucking Association twice and as Chairman of the National Tank Truck Carriers from 2007 to 2008.
“Greg has been a dedicated supporter of TXTA and a constant leader within the trucking community,” said TXTA President and CEO John D. Esparza. “His long history of service and advocacy reflects the very values this award represents. We are honored to recognize his contributions to our association and industry in Texas and beyond.”
At the heart of Price’s professional journey is a personal philosophy focused on people. He has consistently worked to build organizations where individuals are empowered to pursue and achieve their personal and professional goals. This commitment to people and purpose has defined his leadership style and earned him the respect of colleagues across the trucking industry. Price will be recognized with the Leadership Award at the Chairman’s Dinner at the TXTA Annual Conference in Austin, Texas on July 31.
