About
TXTA Foundation was established in 1978 to fund education and research projects for the Texas trucking industry. The Foundation is a non-profit educational, public relations, research and community service organization governed by a Board of Trustees. The mission of this all volunteer organization is to work with TXTA member companies to fund educational and community service programs to enhance the understanding of and image of the Texas trucking industry, with the ultimate goal of positioning trucking as the most vital and necessary industry in Texas.
Scholarships
Drivers, dock workers, mechanics, office personnel—there are thousands of people each day who contribute to a strong, efficient motor transportation industry in Texas. Many of these workers are or have dependents pursuing higher education. TXTA Foundation eases the financial burden of their efforts by providing scholarships to current TXTA member employees, their dependents and grandchildren.
Giving
There are various and equally important ways to support TXTA Foundation and its educational efforts. In addition to fundraising events held throughout the year such as the Main Event and golf tournaments, there are many ways to contribute! TXTA Foundation greatly appreciates all gifts regardless of size.
Outreach
TXTA Foundation promotes the good works of the industry by advancing the positive image and highlighting the essentiality of the trucking industry. TXTA Foundation makes an annual contribution to the Trucking Moves America Forward campaign, presented by American Trucking Associations, and shares its appreciation for our heroes of the highway on social media, billboards, truck wraps and stories in The Steering Wheel magazine. TXTA Foundation trustees are champions for the trucking community—strengthening our message and educating the public at every turn.
