Series Overview: Navigating DOT Compliance Fundamentals
Each session builds on the last, creating a complete foundation for understanding and managing DOT compliance requirements.

Week 1 – January 13 & 20
Parts 390 & 392: Foundations & Safe Driving of CMVs
Goal: Establish a foundational understanding of FMCSA regulations and driver responsibilities.

Week 2 – January 27
Parts 40, 382 & 383: Drug & Alcohol and CDL Compliance
Goal: Introduce rules for driver qualification and substance testing for CDL drivers.

Week 3 – February 10
Part 391: Driver Qualification Files & Responsibilities
Goal: Explain how to maintain compliance with driver qualification standards.

Week 4 – February 24
Part 395: Hours of Service & Fatigue Management
Goal: Review rules for driver hours, logbooks, and electronic logging devices (ELDs).

Week 5 – March 10
Parts 393 & 396: Vehicle Inspection, Repair & Maintenance
Goal: Cover basic vehicle safety and preventive maintenance requirements.

Week 6 – March 24
Hazardous Materials (HM) & Putting Compliance into Practice
Goal: Introduce basic hazardous materials regulations and discuss real-world compliance application.
